Our Love Story

On March 6, 2021, after enduring a city-stopping snowstorm in Dallas that left millions without power and after Jordan had beaten COVID to death Jordan and Catalina met. Amelia Jean Carlo, an amateur soccer player and co-worker, had invited all his closest Dallas friends to a party on his rooftop.

That night, Jordan discovered Catalina was Colombian… and yeah, everyone knows how special Colombians are. There isn’t much else to say about that evening.

Soon afterward, the couple found themselves hanging out at the legendary nightclub in the Hardwood District called Te Deseo. There, Jordan learned what Latin music and life were truly all about. One memorable night, he decided to steal a reserved sign from a table and place it on Catalina, letting her know she was reserved only for him. Hunnnhhhyyyeeeaaahhhh.

The Story

The following week, Catalina bought a ticket to fly with the new transplant family to Puerto Rico. Since then, they have traveled the world together, visiting places around the USA, Mexico, Colombia, France, Monaco, and Spain seeing family and friends along the way.

After some career shifts and a bit of growing up, they decided to move to Arizona. They bought their first house in Chandler, AZ. Together, they remodeled the entire place and made it their own, from ripping up the floors to building Cooper his own little dog house under the stairs.

The Building

One thing became very clear in their relationship moving forward: Christmas is the most important holiday, and every year the decorations had to outdo the previous year’s display.

The Engagement

After tricking Catalina into going out for a fancy dinner, Jordan blindfolded her and brought her to the moment of accepting forever with him. After dating for 2.5 years, Jordan was certain he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Catalina. 🙂
